C – cabinet





In 2017, I began work on a new office space for "Roketbank." In addition to simple 3D modeling and participation in the development of office loft space, I was given the opportunity to create several uniquely large and heavy industrial designs: a cabinet and a wardrobe.

As a result, from the two concepts the cabinet was fully realized - a three-meter giant consisting of three parts was erected (another word here is hard to find) in a new loft space.

The workplace decides a lot. In the office of Roketbank a lot of attention is centered around that - huge tables are designed, with a calculation of 1.5 meters per person. In each of these giants there is internet and electricity. If you want to - connect a laptop, charge the phone or put two monitors and work at the table for your own pleasure. This solution - connecting the workstation to the cables vital to the technology - solves many problems.

Now you need to add mobility to this story.

Project Description:


The concrete cave for the product-deisgners was almost ready. Only the filling was absent - a huge loft with tables about five and six meters, mobile bar tables - also made of steel and oak . And of course the cabinet - a three-meter giant, the place that was allocated between the wall and the column.

The sections of the cabinet have: 2 rows of lockers with reinforced glass on the doors, 4 pull-out steel drawers on the telescopic guide elements, large closed shelves with cut-off doors, and open shelves from the oak lamella.

The work proceeded fairly quickly, thanks to simple cabinet shapes and a pre-planned storage space, a conceptual 3D model was created in SketchUp.
Approved model, as well as visualization, we transferred to work. Within a month the cabinet was ready and very enthrallingly erected:

– in the beginning it was brought almost at one o'clock in the morning
– everyone participated in unloading the thing, except for loaders: designers and founders of Roketbank did all the heavy lifting
– 3 sections each almost 400 kg each
– A group of strong movers from the southern republics the next day broke through a narrow staircase, hoisting parts of the cabinet on their shoulders
– quiet and steady assembly
